DLX Creative has called Richmond home since 2012. What began with a shared vision between founders David Liao and Michael Bai has grown into a close-knit studio of designers, strategists, and storytellers, with Helen Ye and Antonia Yip forming part of the core group that continues to shape its direction today.

Together, we’ve helped bring more than 200 projects and brands to life across Australia and beyond, creating identities, campaigns and experiences that feel considered, enduring and distinctive. We believe good work comes from curiosity, trust and long-term relationships.

Our process starts with active listening. To the brief and to everything the brief does not say. The market, the audience and the ambition behind the project, the things a client knows intuitively but has not found the words yet. That understanding is what every creative decision is built on.

Spend enough time around the studio and you’ll discover that everyone’s creativity rarely stops at the desk. There’s a genuine fascination (sometimes obsession) with the details, whether that’s David’s carefully catalogued collection of more than 200 succulents, Michael’s pursuit of the perfect sound through speakers and ever-growing vinyl collection, Helen’s fondness for disappearing into nature for a leisurely hike, or Antonia’s affinity for theatre and life under the spotlight.

Perhaps that’s why we approach our work the way we do – with curiosity, care and a belief that character is often found in the details.
